WEEK 1: CULTURES I personally think that everything around us affects our cultures in many ways. As a mexican-american my culture and traditions are very important to me and my family. My traditons go back for generations; therefore i feel as a future eductor i bring a certain amount of knowledge about this culture. At the same time i feel that i must learn about diverse cultures to help everyone feel comfortable in different environments. Some students feel like they can't express their cultures and beliefs in fear of being outcasted or made fun of. That's why i feel it necessary to better understand other cultures and share with one another.

I agree with you on that Janie. It amazes me how students will let other individuals influence their decisions.
